Dr. Md. Sajjad Hossain Bhuiyan, Chairman of the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) Bangladesh, joined as the Chief Guest in a webinar titled “Value Partnering by Finance in FMCG Sector: The Case of Unilever Bangladesh”, held on Saturday, May 17, 2025.
The webinar brought together finance professionals, corporate leaders, and industry experts to explore the evolving role of the finance function as a strategic value partner in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. Unilever Bangladesh served as the focal case study for demonstrating how finance teams can go beyond traditional reporting and compliance to contribute meaningfully to business innovation, sustainability, and long-term growth.
In his keynote address, Dr. Bhuiyan highlighted the importance of integrating financial governance with corporate strategy and praised Unilever Bangladesh for setting benchmarks in financial transparency and ethical practices. He emphasized that strong collaboration between finance and operational units is vital for achieving sustainable business success in the competitive FMCG industry.
